Problem Solving

We are leaning to solve maths problems. There are usually 12 boys in my class but today 3 are sick. How many boys are in class?

    Great word problem! I agree with Sabrina and Shelly that the answer is 9.

    If there are usually 12 boys and you take 3 away because they're sick you are left with 9 boys.

    12 - 3 = 9
